About Anwil |
The company origin dates back to 1966 when the Polish government decided to build the ammonium nitrate factory Zaklady Azotowe "Wloclawek". The major next step in the history was the polyvinyl chloride plant construction which was completed in the early 1980s. It consisted of chlorine electrolysis, soda lye and caustic soda plant, vinyl chloride synthesis and polyvinyl chloride polymerization. In 1992 a PVC compounds plant was also added to the portfolio.
In April 1998, the Company changed its name from Zaklady Azotowe "Wloclawek" into ANWIL SA.
In the years 1999-2003 the vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride plants went though significant modernization and PVC capacity was increased to 300 000 tons per year each.
Anwil main products today are S-PVC, compound, caustic and fertilizers. Anwil is the owner of Spolana in the Chech Republic, producing a complimentary range of S-PVC resins.
Kinera is the local Nordic representative for Anwil and Spolana and their Polanvil™; and Neralit™ S-PVC resins.
